So today I learned how to make pages on my blog, so now you'll have to suffer through me rambling on about myself and things I like and blah blah blah just because I know how to do it :)
First off, I'm a small town girl.. small small... I am from Goderich On which is a beautiful small town about 8000 people. Yes you have probably heard about us now since mother nature decided to kick our ass in August with an extremely destructive F3 tornado. Anyways thats my hometown and I'm proud of it. There's one thing I have a love/hate relationship about with small towns; everyone knows everyone. Yes, sometimes thats nice.. I can tell that when I go away or go to the city for the day I miss those guaranteed encounters with someone you know. On the other hand, sometimes I don't want you to know everything about my life and what I had for breakfast this morning and what time I work at today. Sometimes I just want to buy my damn groceries and not have to tell 7 different people that 'yes mom still has her daycare' or 'no I'm not working there anymore'. I think that most of you that live in a small town understand completely where I'm coming from. Needless to say; I'll always love my beautiful hometown on lake huron.
I like to think I'm half a girly girl. I love makeup, nail polish and the colour pink, but I also love cars, beer, and I'm not afraid to get some mud on me. Now don't be confused with me being a country girl. I like to rock out to some good country music but don't ask me to help you with your tractor... I probably don't know which one it is.
I love music, pretty much all music. (i hate u2 and taylor swift[most of the time; i liked her older stuff]). One of my fifty-twos, (refer to the fifty-two tab if you don't know what I'm talking about) is to learn a new musical instrument this year. I'm thinking the bagpipes.
I have incredible best friends. They're the girls that you can go a while without seeing and then once you finally do, you feel like a void has been filled, but you also feel like you spent no time apart at all. They're the girls that will always be your wingman and will never judge your decisions. They're also the girls that tell you when you're being an insensitive bi*ch or a drunken idiot. Girls like that are rare, and if you have them in your life, hold on to them because you need them.
I live with the love of my life in a cozy apartment with our 8 month old kitties Milo (orange/white tabby) and Roz (grey/brown/black tabby), and our 9 week old rottweiler puppy Ava. Life is busy, but I wouldn't change a thing (other than have a house with a backyard!).
I am a certified Esthetician and I love my job. It is very rewarding to make people look and feel better, and you learn so much about how to take care of yourself. If I were to change careers I would want to be a flight attendant or an ultrasound tech... maybe in the future! I also want to go to teachers college and become an Esthetics instructor but I have to wait 3 more years (stupid prerequisites) or I would like to become Jenna Mourey/ Marbles cause she's hilarious. and hot.
I am 100% right brained. I not have any sort of mathematical skills or strategic skills. I am always daydreaming or laughing or imagining things. Don't get me wrong I do have a temper and I'm a typical stubborn Leo.
I love coffee! And more importantly I LOOOOVE Starbucks and would really appreciate if one would come to this area sometime soon. It's really inconvenient to have to drive to London to get a a macchiato! I would drink coffee 24 hours a day if I didn't think I would have a heart attack!
I'm afraid of spiders, the dark, needles (except tattoos... one of my fifty-twos is to get a half sleeve! tell me what you think), burglars, and regret. I don't believe in going to bed angry, and I don't think you should ever hold a grudge for too long because it will come back and bite you in the ass.
I wish I lived in a big city in a condo apartment and wore lipstick and heels everyday.
